Charles Scribner's Sons, 1897. Hard Cover. No dust jacket. Cover has considerable shelfwear, small chips, corners worn through. Pages are clean and unmarked, slightly toned/foxed with damp staining on several pages. Frontispiece with tissue intact. Seven additional full-page illustrations with tissues. Fourteen additional smaller illustrations. Binding is tight. Front hinge perfect, back hinge cracked. Collection of seven stories about the old South. Very nice copy.

Printing error on page 34, line 8 - 'city-bird' instead of 'city-bred'. Name on front flyleaf. Frontispiece tissue intact. Light damp stain on bottom edges of first 70 pages. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked. Hinges are perfect. Binding is slightly shaken. Very nice copy.
