J.E.D. Comstock,1846. Hard Cover. Half-leather, marbled boards, ruled spine, black/gilt title plates. Cover has mild shelfwear with rubbed through corners. Moderately foxed endpapers, large chips/tears on flyleaves. Large stain from front flyleaf through page 41 at spine edge of text pages that never affects legibility of text. Small chips/tears on fore edge of title page. Tissue guards are missing/torn/written upon. Dog-ear on bottom of page 99. Pages are clean and unmarked. Hinges are perfect. Good reading/research copy.
