Hard Cover. No dust jacket. Red cloth boards with gilt decorations and writing. All edges gilt. Spine is sunned. Top and bottom of spine are chipped and fraying. Corners are rubbed through. Cover has moderate to heavy shelfewar. Two deliberate, heavy pencil marks to front board. Occasional pencil marks (as of a child) throughout. Binding is very slightly shaken, hinges are just beginning to crack. Good reading copy.

J. & J. Gihon,1847. Hard Cover. Scarce. Brown, blind-stamped boards with gilt decorated spine. Cover has very mild shelfwear, lightly rubbed edges, Pages are clean and unmarked, moderately foxed throughout. Light stain on top edge of pages towards end of text. Foxing and stain do not affect legibility of text. 10 pages of advertising after text. Binding is tight. Hinges are perfect. Very nice copy.
