Hinge is cracked at title page. Binding is slightly separated between pages 24 and 25. Pages are clean and unmarked, slightly toned. Very nice copy.

Scribner and Welford, no date stated, circa 1889. Scarce. Hard Cover. No dust jacket. Green boards with pictorial cover and spine. Green lacquer on edges of papers, publisher refers to these edges as 'Olivine'. Cover has mild shelfwear, lightly rubbed edges, softened spine ends. Two-inch tear along upper front spine edge. 384 pages of text, followed by 32 pages of advertisements. Binding is tight. Front hinge has 3 small cracks, back hinge perfect. Very nice copy.
